i feel as if an entire lifespan has passed today
i want to be home, in a bath i want the house empty i want to heal the skin that i attacked yesterday in a fit of annoyance

i see that macleod is not one for emotional satisfaction; but the good ones rarely are and the best, never.
that being said, everything happens the only way it can. anna, thankfully, is not possessed (though many try, at least in syntax, just as she begins to fade). i think the more we see the possessive ponoun, the further she retreats into shadow...
the cyclical ending forces a re-reading of the first chapter; forces, once again, the bitter truth of a historian: that the age of light - of enlightenment - is no different than the last
